Glide is proud to be listed with MCOLES as a dive training service provider,
offering the following dive classes:
- Beginning Scuba Diving
- Open Water Certification
- Advanced Scuba Diving
- Rescue Diver
What does this
mean to you and your community?
It means local area
dive teams may obtain training at
Dive & Glide and be reimbursed by the State of Michigan for
all training completed successfully by the police and sheriff
officers participating in the classes.
It means this
training can now be provided at
NO COSTS to your city our county.
Dive & Glide is currently the
only scuba diving training facility
registered with MCOLES to provide this service.
2012 MCOLES class schedules will
be listed on the
MCOLES website by year end at
www.Michigan.gov/mcoles.
Tell those
you know in your community that are eligible
for this training (police and sheriff officers) that new classes
will begin in 2012. Help them improve and expand on
the services they provide you and your family.
Make them aware
this training is available at

and is paid for by the State of Michigan.

NAUI TRAINING ASSISTANT CLASS
Dive & Glide now offers the NAUI Training Assistant class.
As a certified NAUI Training Assistant, you will be qualified to
temporarily
directly supervise students while an instructor conducts
skills with
other students; escort students on the surface or on
underwater tours;
and assist an active-status NAUI Instructor with other
tasks,
all under the direction of a NAUI instructor.
Included in this course:
-
Compass navigation; underwater communications.
-
Assisting divers with
cramps, anxiety, breathing difficulties,
and signs of pre-panic.
-
Escorting a diver to
safety.
-
Escorting divers
during an open water dive.
-
Performing a scuba
diver rescue.
Minimum Age
& Requirements:
Eighteen (18) years of age or older and in good physical condition,
have
the training and experience equivalent to at least NAUI Advanced Diver,
have certification in NAUI Scuba Rescue Diver or equivalent,
and have
current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Enroll now
in our first NAUI Training Assistant Class
being held in January 2012
at the low introductory rate of $299.
Class meets on Tuesday nights for 4 weeks
from 6p-10p beginning January 5th & ending January 26th.
$199 deposit required to reserve class spot.
